HelloI just did the upgrade from windows 8 to windows 10 and already having some issuesFirst it doesn't let me change my display resolution so I'm stuck with the recommended. It does not give other option I went to Advanced settings, display adapter and List Modes and it only shows the recommended one (1360x768)Also I don't think is recognizing my monitor it says generic pnp monitor.
I have it connected with an HDMI cord and when I'm trying to adjust the sound so I can hear it doesn't show the option of my tv. Only the default real tek or something.Additional to that, when I tried to open the nvidia control panel it does not open, it shows when I do the search but when I click on it nothing opens.Ithink it has to do with something recognizing the tv. What is wrong? What can I do? Hi,Thanks for posting your query to Microsoft forum.
RECOMMENDED:The display resolution or screen resolution is generally responsible for the clarity of texts and images displayed on the screen. The disappearance of haruhi suzumiya soundtrack composers. At lower resolutions, texts and images appear larger but less items fit on the display. Likewise, at higher resolutions, images and texts look sharper, but more items fit on the screen as they appear smaller. When you install Windows operating system and install your graphics driver, the driver automatically sets the recommended resolution.
Most users will never need to change the recommended or default screen resolution, but at times, while playing a game or running software, the game or software might automatically change the screen resolution, forcing you to manually restore the original screen resolution.Last evening, while writing how to, I noticed that Screen resolution option is missing from Windows 10’s desktop context menu. As you likely know, in earlier Windows versions, Screen resolution option would appear when you right-click on desktop. In Windows 10, Microsoft has renamed the Screen resolution option in the desktop context menu to Display settings.
In other words, when you right-click on desktop, you’ll see Display settings option instead of Screen resolution option. This is because, Microsoft has moved most of the settings to the new to make changing Windows settings easier both on traditional PCs as well as touch-based devices. And because screen resolution settings have been moved, changing screen resolution in Windows 10 is not as easy it was before. While right-clicking on Windows 10 desktop and clicking Display setting opens Display settings in Settings app, first time users will find it difficult to locate the option and change screen resolution in Windows 10. None of the above solved my problem.
I’ve addressed it through another email. I need to keep my laptop up without it shutting down on me after 30 seconds. Is this conducive to Windows 10? I have screensaver set to go off after one minute rather than five. This ‘shutting down’ on its own shouldn’t happen, should it? It’s only bothersome but also irritating to look up and see that I have to enter password again.
Can't Change Resolution On Second Monitor Windows 10
It does not lose what page I’m on, which is good but truly irritating and time consuming.
Black Screen After Changing Resolution Windows 10
Hi guys,Ok I'm gonna just put it out there, I was surfing porn sites and when I was opening multiple tabs (so I don't know which one it was) my screen just turned off for a split second and when it came back on the resolution was all changed, everything looks so big now! What's weird is that when I try to change the screen resolution back by going into the 'Display Setting' menu by right-clicking the desktop, it's completely missing the display setting part where it shows the actual monitors (you know, the ones that has a picture of a monitor with '1' and '2' on it). I took a screenshot of it too.Is this caused by some sort of virus? Did it wipe out my display drivers or something? Please help, it'll be much much appreciated as it's so hard use my computer now with such a massive screen. Thanks guys in advance! I'm starting to find this kind of funny.I had the same problem this morning, and when I finally just searched the forums, I found out that 2 dozen other people are having the same issues this week.Find your display adapter in Device Manager and right click Properties, then go to the driver header and see if the 'roll back' option is available. That's your solution (or at least it was for me and a dozen others). It would appear Windows Update managed to upset screen resolutions across the world in one fell swoop.I had all the same problems, including the reduced resolution and inability to toggle multiple displays.
